Last year we celebrated the 250th anniversary of the birth of Mozart with a concert by an Ensemble from the London Mozart Players, which proved to be the most successful event in our forty-one year history.
For this, forty second year, we promise you four more exciting concerts. To launch it we will have another innovation. There will be two matched Bluthner pianos and the evening will feature percussionist Brian Wilshere and pianist Alan Brown in a programme of classical music. This and the third concert will be held at the Reigate Grammer School Concert Hall.
For the second and fourth concerts we return to the intimate venue of the Music Department's Recital Room in Church Walk.
Up and coming young Chinese pianist Wu Qian will play for us in November and in February the Ruskin Ensemble will be present, in period costume, "Jane Austen - A Regency Soireé".
The final concert will be a Harp and Oboe recital from sisters, Harriet and Caroline Adie.
All concerts start at 8 pm. The school is on Reigate Road (A25) between the town and Redhill and once again, we thank the Headmaster for his support.
The society gratefully acknowledge financial support from the Humphrey Richardson Taylor Charitable Trust, Watson Wyatt Partners, and the Borough of Reigate and Banstead Arts Council.
Our Chairman, Mr Christopher Slater
